Corrections

We correct errors promptly and log material corrections here.

What we log

A material correction is any change that alters what a reader would reasonably do: a misstated eligibility rule, a wrong filing office or deadline, an incorrect statutory citation, or a status change we reported inaccurately. When we make one, the entry below records the date, the page, what was wrong, and what it now says.

Routine edits — clarified wording, a fixed link, a refreshed review date with no change in substance — are not logged here. Every guide carries its own visible Last reviewed date so you can see when it was last checked.

How corrections are made

We correct the page first, then log it. We do not quietly rewrite a page and leave the record unchanged. Our sourcing standard and review process are described in our editorial policy, methodology, and source library.

If you believe something on this site is wrong, tell us and point to the source that shows it. Email [email protected]. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong in front of a veteran making a filing decision.
